Day 2 || 2 of <#C045S4393CY|> Today was a bit of a nightmare—spent 13 hours at school, including 3 hours on an impossible test.

Aside from that, I started getting back into Slack bots and might build one out. Also, I learned how to create GitHub Actions, so now I can make a website that updates from a GitHub repository! 🚀 Check out what I worked on today!

more backend based stuff but did change scrollbar and added api so now it pulls real lessons and weeks teachers have "-" tho so i dont leak their names but that does work and the extra periods and issue with code just for some reason school added extra useless periods at start and end of day

Finally finished my project, bgChange! Not the most complicated, but hey! It works. Kinda funny how this all originated from rebellion against the school's refusing to let us change our backgrounds.

I had a day off school today due to the snow, so I got a good bit done. I finished the automatic saving feature in Codeboard scribbles, and I started working on saving before leaving the page and a keyboard shortcut for saving. I worked for a while on the 5 page proposal for my #C08525UQNSF| (STEM Racing) team too.

Yesterday I helped run the computer science table at our school district's middle school academy fair! talking hundreds of middle schoolers was very taxing, but it actually went great, we had a crowd around our table the entire time! I obviously advertised Hack Club a ton even though I was low on posters & flyers-- people loved the Sprig, the LED matrix (upcoming ysws 👀), the stickers, and most of all, the game! I projected my #C07MUFXNG82| pinball game onto the ceiling to draw people over & gave candy to people who could score 1000! I wanted to buy a gong with school budget that we could hit every time someone beat the high score, but even though it (shockingly) got approved it didn't arrive in time. Definitely gonna recreate this setup in the future!

today was filled with lots of school work speedrun lol: • pulled an all nighter • today a local business reached out for a poster design so ive been trying to make one (also i asked before i posted it here just to make sure they were cool w it :) ), this is the first very rough draft to just make sure im getting what they want but ill pretify it later: • not much progress w @loumakespopculturereferences (idk why the name isnt changing sob), just added a few more emotions and that was it. i do plan to ship it tmrw tho. learning ab slack bots is interesting to say the least lol • been a really weird day where i live so ive been keeping up w that, might make a website hopefully before christmas to document it since i feel like alot of ppl dont quite understand the situation rn

Updated pop music website! Fixed slideshow, updated navigation bar, hamburger menu and also improved on the JavaScript code... My goal with this is to convince our school to let us have a space for student websites that we'd voluntarily make for fun… If anything I'm learning something new by making a site about a hobby

flew to los angeles for ascend and actually made a (semi functional) hackathon project • 🎓 graduated high school ?!??!? what •

presented a project of mine (the very first project i scrapbooked) at pycon australia's student showcase, over in melbourne (the student showcase might be an australian-only thing

) along the way, i hung out with some great friends, spoke to a lot of awesome new people, got some nice swag, spent a lot of time travelling in planes and through different cities. seriously, if you'd told thirteen year old me that i'd be doing all this i absolutely would not have believed you at all tl;dr the real projects were the friends we made along the way or something like that

i finished the website for my spooky boba. i'll try to make some improvements sometime soon but i think i like it a decent amt now. today i also went to the office and also met a sponsor which went decently well! i worked on some more budget still and did a bunch of school assignments. i also had a meeting with my progress manager (that's my homeschool's fancy name for homeroom tr) to change my maths schedule and i rlly like my maths schedule now!

Just competed in my first Hack Club affiliated hackathon in Flagstaff, Arizona! The hackathon was divided into middle and high school (I'm in 8th). My team got first place in Middle School. Python School management system project with a database of SQLite. It has three most important user roles: a student, teacher, and admin. The functionality will be different for different users. Students can sign up, log in, and check their personal information and grades. Teachers will add and manage the grades of students. Admins can add, edit, and delete students' records and manage user authentication and password changes. Security features include password hashing and access restriction to admins for a specified number of users.
